Ways I look after my body

  1. Hot tubs (morning, noon, and/or night!)
  2. Swimming (ditto; mostly gentle breast stroke)
  3. Intuitive lifting (including high-bar squat)
  4. Sunbathing
  5. Lying on the floor
  6. Mountain hikes
  7. Yoga (currently 3 different teachers/styles)
  8. Full-body massages 
  9. At-home massage gun
  10. Osteo sessions with Patrick (when in Oxford!)
  11. Short HIIT sequences (morning)
  12. Headstand stool 
  13. Swanky office chair
  14. Tennis ball on hips and glutes
  15. Foam rolling (ideally with Rumble Roller!)
  16. Voodoo floss
  17. Not wearing much makeup
  18. Using plenty of Hawaiian Tropic suncream on my body and Supergoop on my face
  19. Using retinol
  20. Not wearing high heels
  21. Using rucksacks
  22. Not wearing jeans or other harsh waistbands
  23. Paying attention to posture (e.g. squeezing glutes, not sitting with legs crossed)
  24. Not being “on a diet” 
  25. Very rarely drinking caffeine
  26. Very rarely using an alarm clock
  27. Drinking plenty of tea first thing
  28. Eating big breakfasts
  29. Eating lots of fat
  30. Choosing to live in a warm dry sunny climate

Ways I expect too much of my body

  1. Long working hours at the laptop

Neutral/mixed things

  1. Cycling quite a bit to get around (good for cardio, can tighten up the quads too much)
  2. Dyeing my hair weird colours!
  3. Showering and washing my hair rarely
  4. Alcohol (has lots of benefits but also some drawbacks)

Things I might like to do more of

  1. Structured breathing (e.g. cardiac coherence or the Yoga Soup breathwork method)
  2. Maybe interesting combinations (e.g. follow up tennis ball with headstand stool, maybe with music?)
